NOTHING BUT NASCAR HERE! My first NASCAR Cup experience was the Richmond fall race in 1999. I've been a NASCAR and Tony Stewart fan since. Here's a look at him and NASCAR through a different set of eyes. Best viewed with Spread Firefox Affiliate Button

Tony's "I Told You So!", The other Denny Hamlin.

When Tony spun (and he did) Denny earlier this year, I wasn't happy about the way he talked about Denny Hamlin, and nobody else did either. His comments on his teamworks and driving ability came as a shock to everyone. Tony got lambasted by all for his out lash at the Rookie of the Year. I defended him against my feelings about what he said, because I don't see what happens out there through the windshield of a stock car. It was almost like he was bottling things up about how he felt, and then the cork blew. At the Dover race, the cork blew for Kyle Petty. Things seem a little different now. Almost no one took what Tony said seriously, but now that someone with a different view has come out against Denny, it's a different tune. Kyle was extremely upset to the point of physical confrontation at the actions on the track. I can almost hear Tony say it. "I told you so!"

Toyooooomygoodness!

Yea, it's been awhile since I posted anything here. Can't say when I might post anything again, but that's not why I'm typing this tonight. This will be my official reaction to the switch from GM to Toyota by JGR. I've always embraced change but this is a little much. To take a championship driver and put him in a car that has not proven itself doesn't seem to make much sense. It wouldn't make sure who the driver was, but the fact that it's MY driver hits home. I have a lot of faith in the JGR organization to be confident that this change was looked at from every angle and had many more benefits that I could possibly list on this blog, much less see as an average fan. Al I want to see is Tony climb the fence at the end of a NASCAR event. He could drive a Yugo for all I care.
